Artist’s Statement.

My contempt for those of any nation who would declare war knows no bounds, but it is hard for many men to deny the awesome power and mechanical beauty of the machines designed and constructed to deliver that declaration.

Drawing has always been an enjoyable part of my life and as a 6-year-old child I was captivated by the film ‘The Battle of Britain’. From that moment on, planes tanks and helicopters were pretty much my artistic inspiration.

War has always been a part of the human condition, abhorrent as it is, and although I am driven to portray images relating to such, I strive to capture non-violent scenes with historical accuracy and not glorify any aspect.
