The Arado 234 was the world's first operational jet powered bomber, shown here being escorted by the Messerchmitt Me262. Signatory, Oberleutnant Erich Sommer was heavily involved in early prototype testing of the type and later undertook operational reconnaissance sorties on the Western and Italian fronts. Sommer in fact flew the worlds first jet recon. mission over the Normandy beachhead on August 2nd, 1944. Each print personally autographed by Erich Sommer and the artist.
